We are Paulina and Simon and we live on a Cambridgeshire/Suffolk border.
We got our first pet golden retriever in February 2013 when we moved to Ireland. Lucy joined us and our cat Felek in our Irish adventure which was initially planned to last for only 6 months. We both always loved the breed but unfortunately we were not able to have a golden due to our living situation. A month later after we got our Lucy while watching Crufts we said we would like to start showing and so we did! In May 2013 we attended our first ever show with Lucy who was never meant to be a show dog and without the showing skills and we were not placed high. We did however meet many lovely show people including Orlagh Murray and her sister Aoife who were extremely helpful and gave us a lot of great tips. They also encouraged us to keep trying and soon after we joined the Golden Retriever Society Of Ireland and then the All Ireland Golden Retriever Club. It was obvious that we were bitten by the dog showing bug and we needed a show quality puppy to start with. We were very lucky as in August 2013 we collected from Orlagh Murray our wonderful Cadhla – Rathcloon Hunter In Pink For Berrymeade, a daughter of Orlagh’s beautiful Tori – Ir Sh Ch Rathcloon Peaches N Cream Jun Ch JD and a granddaughter of the wonderful Murphy – Int Ir Sh Ch Rathcloon The Spice Is Nice An Ch 08. Cadhla was just the most beautiful puppy of a loving, typical for a golden retriever character. We fell in love with her the day we saw her for the first time.
Fast forward to 2022 we are lucky owners of 6 Golden Retrievers and co-owners of 3 more that live with our friends and family. Cadhla became a Show Champion in 2021 and two months later a full Champion after passing her Show Gundog Working Certificate. We have 3 of her progeny living with us along with her grand puppies. We are lucky to have gained stud book numbers, CCs, RCCs and CACs as well as junior warrant titles for our dogs. We enjoy living with our Goldens and we love showing, breeding and now also working our dogs.
We currently live on a Cambridgeshire and Suffolk border enjoying best of both, the beautiful English countryside and a fairly close proximity to London.
We are members of the Kennel Club Assured Breeder Scheme snd currently hold a 5 star breeding licence issued by East Cambridgeshire District Council. Licence number : 21/00123/ANIMAL & expiry date : 1st June 2024.
